“Kid Travel considers the Infantino Flip Advanced 4-in-1 a solid, budget-friendly baby carrier. In their comparison of fourteen carriers, it didn't rank the highest but performed better than many others. They note it's a no-frills option that is best suited for smaller infants rather than toddlers. While the comfort was average, with some pulling noted in the upper back and shoulders, the cotton material was found to be breathable. A significant drawback mentioned is that the carrier doesn't maintain the ergonomic 'M' position for the baby's legs very well, which could lead to circulation issues, especially in the forward-facing position.”

“This source highlights the carrier's versatility for use from infancy through toddler years due to its convertible seat. They list the four carrying positions and the adjustable, ergonomic seat as major pros, along with its reasonable price. On the downside, they mention that it's a basic carrier with no extra features and that some users find it uncomfortable, with shoulder pads that are not thick enough.”

“Caregiver Carry provides a detailed fit-focused review, emphasizing that budget carriers often compromise on adjustability. They praise the Infantino Flip for its versatility with four carrying positions and its ability to distribute weight effectively with padded straps and a wide waist belt. However, they caution that it may feel bulky on smaller frames and has limited airflow in hot climates. The review stresses the importance of performing a fit test before buying, as it may not be suitable for all body types, and notes that the outward-facing carry should be avoided if the baby's legs dangle straight instead of maintaining an 'M' shape.”

“MadeForMums calls the Infantino Flip 4-in-1 a "fantastic budget option" that offers multiple carrying positions for a low price. They acknowledge the material feels less premium than more expensive carriers but find it light and strong. A key criticism is that only the inward-facing position is considered ergonomic and supports the baby's hips correctly. They rate it highly for value for money but give it lower scores for sturdiness and design, noting it lacks lower back support for the wearer.”

“In a review of the 'Light and Airy' version, the expert notes the fabric is softer than the regular Flip model. The reviewer demonstrates a 'hack' to create a better seat for a small baby to achieve an ergonomic M-shape, but explicitly states this is not in the manufacturer's instructions. This implies that without modification, achieving an optimal position for a newborn might be challenging.”
